![]() Southern Pacific 4-10-2 No. 5000 Drawing #SP5000

I used to dabble a bit with pen and ink line drawings - my favorite subjects were trains and trucks. Although my early work was more "sketchy" in nature, I always tried to put as much detail as possible into my drawings, and most people who see them have said they are quite good. So, I decided to see if I could sell any of my artwork, as a way to share it --- and maybe make a buck or three. By laser copying my original drawings onto Basis 60 Astroparche stock made by Wausau Papers, I made up several sets of 8 note cards and matching envelopes and began selling them at railroad-related swap meets and rail shows, beginning at the Dunsmuir Railroad Days in 1997. I got lots of compliments, a few criticisms, and sold quite a few sets. The first sets were printed on sand-colored paper. It gave the art a sort of antique parchment appearance, but I found that I prefered the lighter natural-colored Astroparche. The cards are four-folded to 5-12" X 4-1/4" and have matching envelopes. At first I sold straight sets- 8 of the same card- but then I began to mix and match as the customers requested. Now, I am making them available to visitors to this web site, for $1.50 each for a card and an envelope, $8 per set of 8 cards and envelopes, and for $15 for a single or $21 for a double framed drawing (two drawings in one frame). All prices include postage.
On the next page you will find a short listing of available cards/drawings along with a thumbnail pic of each. If you would be interested in purchasing any of my artwork, please drop me an email and tell me what you would like! Thanks, |
